I am a huge fan of baseball! I like other sports too, but baseball is my #1! My favorite team is the Seattle Mariners, and I try to watch every single game. Unfortunately, they are probably the most unsuccessful team in MLB history, but I think that adds a lot of charm to them. :3
The biggest reason why I love baseball so much is the very deep potential for analytics. No other sport has such a synergy with statistics, and doing baseball analytics (known as sabermetrics) is my favorite way to pratice my programming skills!
There are many other things I enjoy about baseball, too! There are really exciting storylines year after year, and going to the ballpark is a great way to spend a summer evening. Also, there is a decent-sized and growing queer baseball fanbase, which is exciting!
