I am very interested in psychology. In fact, I am currently getting a PhD in it!!! Psychology is a massive field, with many areas and subfields within it. I am a cognitive scientist and my main research area is speech production. This means that I'm interested in the processes in the brain that allow us to communicate our thoughts! These days, I'm mainly focused on acoustic phonetics and how the brain allows us to move our bodies to produce speech. In the past, I have also worked with phonotactics and syntactic priming :3
When I tell people that I study psychology, they typically assume that I study clinical psychology, which is the area that I feel is most associated with the word "psychology". Unfortunately, I do not!
